Mapping Australian Housing Stories
Mapping experiences of housing inequality, precarity and vulnerability in Australian cities
...to move away from housing as a place to park excess capital, to housing as a place to live in dignity, to raise families and participate in community…Being without home is being without security, equality, freedom.
The pandemic starkly reveals the importance of a safe place to dwell as fundamental to human life. We are concerned that housing inequality, precarity, vulnerability and injustice is likely to deepen as a consequence of the pandemic. To begin to understand the housing implications of the pandemic, it is vital to understand peoples’ experience of home and housing in relation to the pandemic context. Please share your stories of housing and listen to others as they navigate this crisis.
